Bod Péter Pedagogical High School was established after the change of 1989 as the legal successor of the Pedagogical School abolished in 1956. In 1991 it took the name of Bod Péter (1712-1769), a Reformed pastor of encyclopaedic learning. In Târgu Secuiesc the training of teachers and preschool teachers had already begun in 1931, and after three years of operation it was suspended for 14 years. In 1948 it resumed with four years of study. From the 1953-54 school year it gradually transformed into a theoretical high school. From 1973 it operated as a technical high school in woodworking, garment manufacturing and forestry. From the 1990-91 school year teacher training resumed. Our activity is supported by the Pro Schola Cultural and Educational Association founded in 2000, the Pro Schola Camp in Cernat created through a project (2004), the Nagy Béla Documentation and Information Centre, unique in the region (2005), and the Students' House (2007). Between 2008-2014 a post-secondary section for secretarial and library studies also operated in our school.
From 2014, the Vackor Day Nursery belongs to the centre of our school.
