It has become a tradition in our school to organise special student days during the last week, in cooperation with the Student Union. Within this framework, the 2nd Talent Day was also held. We thank the István family for the 100 lei donation, which we spent on prize sweets. ON WEDNESDAY the following activities took place: 8-10 1. CRAFTS – FELTING at the Nagy Béla Documentation and Information Centre (activity leader: Keresztes-Biró Emese). As an introduction, ANDRÁS ANIKÓ (X. A) presented her research "The Bull-Strike at the Carnival Burial in the Kászon Valley", which won her 3rd prize at this year's RKTK (mentor: dr. Deák Ferenc). 19 students chose this activity. They also presented their finished work within the Talent Day programme. Organising SU member: Bács Anita. 2. OUTDOOR PAINTING – 5 students took part in this event, presenting their on-site work at the Talent Day programme. Their mentor: Szász Barbara, teacher. 3. FILM SCREENING – recommended by HÉJJA BEÁTA and KOVÁCS BARBARA-HENRIETTA, approximately 50-60 students and teachers Fejér Piroska and Székely Imola watched Áron Mátyássy's film Weekend (2015). The author duo won a SPECIAL PRIZE at this year's RKTK for their research "The Representation of Transylvania in Contemporary Films" (mentor: dr. Deák Ferenc), which they presented before/after the film, drawing our attention to other contemporary Transylvanian films where they observed the scapegoat ritual motif (e.g. Katalin Moldovai: Running Out of Air, Peter Strickland: The Legend of Kata Varga, Balázs Krasznahorkai: The Crack). Organising SU members: Slekta Zsanett (IX. B), Csíki Zsolt (XI. B), Szőcs Helga, Pető Tünde (X.B) 4. JUST DANCE – some chose the experience of liberating dance (approx. 5 students). Organising SU member: Mátyás Adrienn (X. A). Teacher: Szőke-Kertész Andrea 5. BOARD GAMES – some came to school yesterday for the joy of playing together. Organising SU member: Kerekes Zsuzsi (X. B), Bálint Csongor (XI. B). Teacher: Pál-Varga Ilona 10-12 The 2ND TALENT DAY was organised by teacher Deák Magdolna, who said in her opening speech that she is aware that the Bod Péter Pedagogical High School has many more talent promises than those who applied for today's performance. She hopes that in the future more and more will take on showing themselves before the school community; thereby strengthening their self-confidence, their value awareness, and their ability to see and appreciate each other's diverse abilities. Her assistant from the Student Union was Pătrânjel Viktória, a 9th grade student. Members of the evaluation committee: teachers: Dr. Deák Ferenc, Tankó Kamilla; representing the Student Union: Bács Anita (XI. A), Csiki Zsolt (XI. B). A total of 14 students performed with individual acts in the schoolyard, with the whole school present. During conversations/interviews with them, it emerged that each of them is also talented in other areas, has achieved results and keeps trying. MUSICAL (vocal, instrumental) TALENT AREA: Simon Brigitta (X. B); István Abigél - Anna and Kiss Réka (X. A, XI. A); Tuzson Rita (X. A). FINE ARTS: Budi Benjamin (IX. A), Debreczi Panna (IX. B), Kádár Ágnes (IX. B), Misăilă Izabella (IX. A). LITERATURE (poetry recitation, poetry writing): Zsigmond Nóra (X. B), Donáth Kitti Viktoria RESEARCH: András Anikó (X. A), Héjja Beáta and Kovács Barbara - Henrietta (X. A). The Talent Day performance series was closed by the singing of Fejér Ákos Bence. At the end of the performances, the jury provided verbal feedback, encouraging everyone to persevere and develop themselves, then rewarded them with sweets. They also received applause, as it turned out they were not chosen by chance for this honourable task, being talented in multiple areas.
