SZÉKELYFÖLDI X. TEHETSÉGNAP

On 13 June 2026, the Transylvanian Talent Support Council (Bereczki Kinga, president) organised the 10th Talent Day, within which the Hungarian Association of Talent Support Organisations, Matehetsz (Bajor Péter, president) also celebrated its 20th anniversary. Our school was represented at the Talent Day by FEJÉR ÁKOS BENCE. He came from Bodola, Brașov county, as a boarding student to the Bod Péter Pedagogical High School, graduating this year from grade XII, philology specialisation. For him, the Transylvanian high school embodies the daily experience of close connection to Hungarian identity. His musical talent and unique singing voice are very distinctive, which he has demonstrated countless times. Our celebrations were made complete by his performances. He was an active member and solo singer of our school band. He also performed at exhibitions organised in the city's cultural institutions on several occasions (e.g. Kosztándi album launch, Deák Réka exhibition). Alongside his singing ambitions, he also has linguistic talent: he participated in the national Romanian subject competition (2024 – county 2nd prize, 2025 – county 1st prize, SPECIAL PRIZE at the national stage), and holds a C2 Cambridge language certificate. He gave a very successful performance in the drama circle, playing the father character in Pass Andrea's Sunflowers. He sang the song Life is Beautiful from the musical Be Good Until Death. We wish him continued success! At the invitation of the SzTT leadership, Kézdivásárhely and its surroundings were also represented by the REZEDA FOLK SONG GROUP (led by Gábor Judit, primary school teacher), NAGY-ROZSNYAI LOTTI, and the KRK BAND (led by Ruszka Sándor, pastor). REZEDA FOLK SONG GROUP: Formed in 2024, its members are 3rd-5th grade girls from Kászonszentkereszt and Gelence, who met at the Búzavirág Singing School in Kézdivásárhely. They participate in numerous folk song competitions in individual categories as well, achieving excellent results. Their most outstanding group achievement is the Gold certification at the 14th "Dunán innen, Tiszán túl" Carpathian Basin youth folk art talent competition, in the folk song category, on 28 June 2025 in Miskolc. They will sing a bouquet of Kászon folk songs. List of songs: 1. Árva madár, mért keseregsz az ágon; 2. A kenderem kiázott; 3. Addig mondtad, elmész, itt hagysz; 4. Velem jól tudsz veszekedni; 5. Szombat este kimentem a kútra. Members: Gáspár Anett, Lénárt Lilla, Vizi Hanna, Zonda Olivia, Szőcs Johanna, Néda Fanni. Group leader: Gábor Judit, primary school teacher THE KRK BAND is the youth band of the Dr. Csiha Kálmán Reformed College in Kézdivásárhely. The band was formed in 2010 at the initiative of Ruszka Sándor, then school chaplain, from music-loving students of the college. The band has regularly performed at school devotions, celebrations, as guests of partner schools in Hungary, and over the years at church and national celebrations (March 15, Csillagpont, Válts irányt, and Égjen a láng Christian festivals). KRK Band members change annually, currently has 16 members and operates under the guidance of Ruszka Sándor and György Demeter Szabolcs pastors. NAGY-ROZSNYAI LOTTI is a 10-year-old figure skater from Kézdivásárhely, who first stepped on the ice at age 5. Since then, skating has become not just a sport but a part of her daily life. Despite her young age, she is already a four-time Romanian champion, and has won the European Criterium overall competition for three consecutive years. In the 2025–2026 season, she won 11 out of 12 competitions, successfully representing her club and country in several countries. Lotti is currently an athlete of Club Pattinaggio Lugano in Switzerland, where she continues to develop in an international environment. She trains multiple hours daily, 6 days a week, on and off the ice, working with immense dedication and perseverance towards her dreams. On the ice she is a disciplined and determined athlete, and off it a smiling, energetic girl who genuinely loves what she does. Her goal is to improve day by day, enjoy the sport, and show how far one can go with passion and hard work. According to her family, coaches and supporters, Lotti's greatest strengths are not only her talent but also the perseverance and joy with which she steps onto the ice every day. Thank you for the opportunity: Deák Magdolna
