On Wednesday, 11 December, our ninth-grade students took part in the interactive "Beating Sounds" performance at the Nagy Béla Documentation and Information Centre.
"The primary goal of the concert-lesson is to create a love for music and a desire for creative self-expression in children."
However, students, teachers and staff received much more. Ferencz Áron, musician and teacher, spoke to the soul through sounds, instruments and rhythms. He offered authentic support for the difficult questions of growing up, as he also told his own stories. "Never give up!" – we hear it often, perhaps too often, but we rarely encounter a tangible example, a result. Now we could hear the sound of that one-of-a-kind instrument, which, after several failed attempts, Áron built with his own hands, according to his own designs.
During the musical journey through time, poems by Ady Endre about dance, love and heartbreak were recited. Familiar feelings and life situations for young people, often difficult to put into words. Through Ferencz Áron's interpretation, we saw and heard Ady's world. The organiser of the activity: Kocsis Annamária, school inspector for primary teachers, teacher at our school.
