"The road to the scaffold was muddy
and the blue of the autumn crocuses." (Faludy György: October 6)
On 6 October, we commemorated the martyrs of Arad at our school. Their sacrifice strengthens our national consciousness. We believe that their lives show many of us that we too must stand by our principles. Their moral stance, even in death, serves to strengthen national consciousness. The great loss still shakes us today, but at the same time it awakens us, because we cannot be indifferent to their death.
Under the guidance of history teacher Pál – Varga Ilona, we commemorated with the programme of class X.B. Through Faludy György's poem "October 6", they testified about the lives and deaths of the martyrs. Music teacher Mr Gligor Zoltán conducted the appropriate musical pieces for the performers.
With a brief historical introduction, the names of the martyrs were recited, whose memory lives on in our hearts.
